Lydia Burns has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Lydia started their career as a Finance Officer at THETA TECHNOLOGIES LTD in May 2014 and later became a Financial Controller, responsible for managing budgets, producing financial statements, and presenting financial positions at shareholder and general meetings. In 2015, they joined the Mental Health Foundation as a Grants Manager, securing significant grants, leading project bids, and establishing delivery partnerships. Lydia then moved to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in 2018, initially as a Trusts and Foundations Manager and later as an Associate Director of Development. In these roles, they focused on fundraising and building relationships with donors. Currently, Lydia holds the position of Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships at Canal & River Trust since 2023.
