Allister Chow, MFin, P.Eng

Equity Research Associate at Canalyst

Allister Chow, MFin, P.Eng has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Allister began their career as a Process Engineer Intern at Tetra Tech Oil and Gas Division. Allister then moved to WSP in Canada as a Project/Process Engineer in 2012 and Verus Engineering Inc. as a Project/Process Engineer Lead in 2018. In the same year, they also worked as a Business Development Representative at Dynasonic Technologies Inc. Allister then moved to Solaris MCI as a Project/Process Engineer Lead in 2019 and Silver X Mining as a Corporate Finance Analyst in 2020. In the same year, they also worked as a Portfolio Analyst at Queen's University Alternative Assets Fund (QUAAF), where they were part of the first team dedicated to Sustainable Finance and ESG since the fund's inception. Currently, they are working as an Equity Research Associate at Canalyst, where they are responsible for building and maintaining fundamental models that the world's largest, most successful investment managers rely on to get the cleanest fundamental data and leverage their time.

Allister Chow, MFin, P.Eng has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering from The University of British Columbia. Allister then completed graduate courses in the Chemical Engineering MEng program at the University of Calgary from 2011 to 2013. In August 2014, Allister Chow obtained their Professional Engineer certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). Allister also attended Hong Kong Language School from 2013 to the present. In 2020, Allister Chow completed their Master of Finance at Queen's University. In January 2018, they obtained their Professional Engineer (PE) certification from Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Allister also holds a BMC-Market Concepts certification from Bloomberg LP, obtained in June 2021. Allister Chow is also a CFA candidate with the CFA Institute.
