John Folkerts

John Folkerts is an experienced information security professional with a strong background in managing security teams and developing cybersecurity policies across various organizations. Currently serving as the Information Security Manager at Canandaigua National Bank & Trust since February 2021, John oversees a team of analysts, implements security measures in banking applications, and leads security awareness initiatives. Prior roles include Lead Instructor at HackerU, where John taught cybersecurity skills to adult learners, and Director of Cyber Security and Risk Management at Corning Incorporated, where strategic security measures were delivered. Additional experience includes leading cyber operations at Conduent, where John established comprehensive security services, as well as serving as Deputy CISO at Xerox, managing information security operations and compliance. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
