Ido Margalit

Ido Margalit has held various positions in the biotechnology industry, starting as a Research Assistant at D Pharm LTD. in 1998. Ido then worked as a Researcher at XTL Biopharmaceuticals Ltd. and CureTech Ltd. before transitioning to roles in management and business development. Ido served as Director of Regulatory Affairs at Bio-Oz Biotechnologies Ltd., CEO at Infigo Diagnostics Ltd., VP Business Development at TransAlgae Ltd., Regional Business Development Manager at Syngenta, and Executive Director at CanBreed Ltd. Currently, they are the Co-Founder and CEO of BetterSeeds Ltd, focusing on sustainable agriculture through gene editing technologies.

Ido Margalit completed their Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1994-1998. Ido then pursued a Master of Science in Management of Technology at New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering from 2003-2005. In 2008, they participated in the Merage foundation lifescience executive program at the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business. Lastly, they engaged in BA studies in International Relations at Sophia University in 1990-1991. Additionally, Ido Margalit obtained certifications in Plant Variety Protection under the UPOV Convention in 2012 and LES Licensing and Tech Transfer in 2013 from relevant institutions.
