Andrew Turnbull

Andrew Turnbull is an accomplished scientist currently serving as Group Leader at Cancer Research Horizons since April 2016, leading a cross-site team focused on delivering three-dimensional structures of protein targets and small-molecule complexes. Turnbull is also a Senior Principal Scientist at Stablix, Inc. and has held various academic positions, including a long-standing role as a Guest Lecturer at Birkbeck, University of London and as an Honorary Research Fellow at UCL. With a PhD in Biochemistry from The University of Sheffield, Turnbull has extensive expertise in drug discovery and structural biology, reflected in a track record that includes the successful delivery of clinical candidates and contributions to structural biology initiatives within Cancer Research UK. Previous roles encompass significant contributions at Cancer Research Technology and the Structural Genomics Consortium, where Turnbull managed teams and solved numerous human protein structures.
