Ben Appleby

Ben Appleby currently serves as Special Advisor to the Chief Executive and Executive Director of Research & Innovation at Cancer Research UK, a position held since May 2021. Prior to this role, Ben worked as a Senior Officer and Press Officer at the same organization, and as a PR Consultant at Calacus PR from November 2016 to May 2021. Additional experience includes an internship at ENS Ltd in September 2016, working as a Marker and Monitor at Cambridge Assessment from July 2015 to September 2016, and contributing weekly to The Independent from October 2015 to February 2016. Ben holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Journalism from the University of Brighton and completed education at Saffron Walden County High School.
