Karen Walshe

Karen Walshe serves as the Research Branding and Communications Lead at Cancer Research UK since February 2013, where responsibilities focus on elevating research visibility and enhancing communication strategies. Prior to this role, Walshe operated as the Research & Engagement Manager at The British Library from March 2009 to February 2013, bridging the gap between the institution's science team and the bioscience research community to foster relationships and meet the needs of contemporary researchers. Walshe's academic foundation includes postdoctoral research at the Smurfit Institute of Genetics at Trinity College Dublin from 2005 to 2009, complemented by education at University College Dublin and St Kilian's German School.
