Louise Slater

Louise Slater is a highly experienced biomarker specialist currently working at Cancer Research UK since September 2024. Prior to this role, Louise led the Oncology and Cell Biology Team at Cancer Research Horizons from December 2020 to October 2024, focusing on developing cell-based assays and managing therapeutic projects. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Scientist at Cancer Research UK - AstraZeneca Antibody Alliance Laboratory, where Louise designed and executed various cell-based screening assays, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at MedImmune, where Louise discovered novel targets on cancer-associated fibroblasts. Louise's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Harvard University, along with extensive teaching and research experience at prestigious institutions such as the University of Cambridge and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
