Tom Lay

Tom Lay has an extensive career in fundraising and operations within the charitable sector, currently serving as the Head of Celebrities and Influencers at Cancer Research UK since October 2018, where responsibilities include campaign strategy development and management of the philanthropy campaign "More Research, Less Cancer." Tom also held roles including Campaign Programme Specialist, Partnerships Specialist for the Bowelbabe Fund, and Senior Product Manager for Fundraising Campaigns, contributing significantly to various fundraising initiatives. In addition to ongoing responsibilities at Cancer Research UK, Tom is a member of the Board of Trustees for St Catherine's Hospice, having joined in June 2024, and previously served as Chair of the Board for the Mark Lay Foundation and as a Governor at St. Wilfrids Catholic School. Additional experience includes a tenure as Fundraising Manager at Macmillan Cancer Support and managing roles in other organizations such as Jt Photography and Retrotouch Electrical Products. Tom holds educational qualifications from St. Wilfrids School and St. Wilfrids Catholic School 6th Form.
