Brent Gibson has extensive work experience in various roles within the government and healthcare sectors. Brent currently holds the position of Chief of Corporate Services & Finance at CancerCare Manitoba since June 2020. Prior to this, they served in multiple roles at the Government of Manitoba, including Executive Director from April 2019 to May 2020, Chief Financial Officer from June 2018 to March 2019, Senior Project Manager from June 2015 to March 2019, and Economic Development Officer from February 2008 to May 2015.
Brent Gibson completed their education with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree in Finance & Management Information Systems from the University of Manitoba in 2002. Brent also pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern World History from the same university in 2009. In 2014, Brent completed the CGA Program of Professional Studies to become a CPA, CGA. Brent furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne in 2016. Additionally, Brent participated in a Korean Language Program at Yonsei University in 2004.

CancerCare Manitoba
CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) is the provincially mandated cancer authority responsible for setting strategic priorities and long-term planning for cancer and blood disorders. CCMB provides clinical services to both children and adults. The cancer services the organization provides to Manitobans include prevention, early detection, multidisciplinary cancer treatment, supportive and end-of-life care. CCMB is also responsible for radiation protection throughout the province. In addition, the Research Institute at CCMB investigates all aspects of cancer and blood disorders, including research to improve the patient’s experience while at CCMB.
