Alexandra Zaleta, PhD has a diverse work experience in the fields of research and psychology. Alexandra is currently working as the Associate Vice President of Research and Insights at CancerCare since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Consultant since March 2023. From July 2016 to February 2023, Dr. Zaleta served in various roles at Cancer Support Community, including Vice President of Research, Senior Director of Research, and Director of Research. From October 2015 to August 2016, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and from September 2013 to September 2015 as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Clinical Instructor at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Zaleta also gained experience as a Clinical Psychology Pre-Doctoral Intern at VA Boston Healthcare System from September 2012 to August 2013. In addition, they worked as a Graduate Research Associate at Washington University in St. Louis from August 2007 to July 2012. Before that, they were a Research Manager at Massachusetts General Hospital from July 2006 to June 2007 and a Research Assistant from September 2002 to August 2005 at the same institution.
Alexandra Zaleta, PhD has an extensive educational background in the field of Psychology. Alexandra earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Vassar College between 1998 and 2002. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009.
In 2005 and 2006, Alexandra Zaleta attended Harvard University and completed their Master of Education (Ed.M.) degree in Human Development and Psychology. Subsequently, they returned to Washington University in St. Louis for their Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Psychology, which they achieved from 2007 to 2013.
Alongside their impressive educational accomplishments, Alexandra Zaleta also obtained a notable certification as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist from the State of Ohio in June 2015.
