Melisa Celikoyar Lcsw

Melisa Celikoyar, LCSW, serves as the Long Island Program Manager and previously the Long Island Program Coordinator at CancerCare since November 2022. Melisa has maintained a private practice as a psychotherapist since July 2018 and held the position of LMSW Social Worker at Rogosin Institute from July 2018 to August 2020. Earlier experience includes working as an LMSW at Volunteers of America, where comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments were conducted, along with crisis intervention and collaboration with service providers. Melisa has previously contributed to the Family Service League as a Care Coordinator, providing outreach and behavioral healthcare plan development, and has held various internships focused on children and adolescents in multiple settings. Melisa earned a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from Hunter College with a concentration in Clinical/Medical Social Work and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University.
