Alex Kiviorg

Alex Kiviorg currently serves as the Manufacturing Engineering Director at Candela since March 2022. Previously, Alex held various engineering roles at Scania Group from September 2014 to March 2022, including Production Engineering Manager, where oversight of production engineers and process planners at two iron foundries was crucial. Alex contributed to the design and optimization of production methods, ensuring high-quality outcomes while minimizing waste and costs. As a Production Engineer, involvement in the planning and construction of a new state-of-the-art foundry in Södertälje was significant. Earlier roles included process planning and a master's thesis on image processing for defect detection in cast iron cylinder heads. Alex's experience also includes internships focusing on quality management and manufacturing processes, supported by a Master of Science in Production Engineering and Management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Drives and Power Electronics from Tallinn University of Technology.
