Erin Tims

Vice President Clinical Affairs at Candesant Biomedical

Erin Tims has a diverse work experience spanning over different industries and roles. Erin started their career as a Research Associate at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 1996 and worked there until 1999. Following that, they served as a Gender and Youth Development Coordinator and Teacher/Volunteer for Peace Corps Ghana from 1999 to 2003.

In 2005, Erin joined WL Gore & Associates as a Clinical Study Manager. Their responsibilities included managing clinical research studies to obtain FDA market approval and overseeing other studies to provide research data for approved products in the US and the EU. Erin worked there until 2008.

Erin then joined TriReme Medical, Inc. in 2008 and held multiple roles during their tenure. Erin started as a Clinical Project Manager from December 2008 to December 2011. Erin then served as an Associate Director, Clinical from January 2012 to May 2014, and later became the Director of Clinical Affairs from May 2014 to June 2017.

From 2017 to 2019, Erin worked at Abbott Structural Heart as a Clinical Advisor/Senior Principal Clinical Scientist.

Currently, Erin is associated with Candesant Biomedical, where they started as a Senior Director, Clinical in July 2019 and was later promoted to Vice President Clinical Affairs in July 2021.

Erin Tims holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemical Pharmacology from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. This degree was obtained between 1992 and 1997. Erin then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Natural Science from the University at Buffalo, which they completed between 1997 and 1999. Erin also has additional certification as a Certified Clinical Research Professional from SOCRA, although the specific date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
