Cesar Del Valle

Director of Global Partnerships at Candid

Cesar is entrusted with overseeing Candid’s Global Partnerships team and scaling the organization's information pipeline internationally. He and his team build, maintain, and establish medium and long-term strategic relationships with philanthropic organizations, governmental agencies, multilateral agencies, and the broader social sector.

Cesar brings nearly two decades of entrepreneurial, startup and development experience to Candid. He sees himself as a global citizen, having lived or worked in eight countries spanning five continents. Cesar most recently served as the Senior Director of Partnerships & Community Engagement at Catchafire. Under his direction, Catchafire experienced notable growth on the global stage. He is proud to have established a national program in Australia and a novel program in the Caribbean in close partnership with the Clinton Foundation. Prior to that, Cesar was Director of Growth & Development for the Hult Prize Foundation, where he developed launch strategies for 5 key National Program markets (Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Pakistan) and managed teams for three established markets (Mexico, Colombia, India). Cesar has also held the role of Director of Business Development & Strategy for Goldemar Solutions in Spain and ventured into running his own social enterprise tackling food insecurity in urban slums in Mumbai and in Accra. He holds a B.S. in Statistics from the University of California-Berkeley and received an M.B.A. from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.

On a personal note, Cesar has an insatiable curiosity for cultures and people. He loves exploring new places and considers himself an adventurer at heart.
