Loy Cowart

Loy Cowart has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Loy started as a physician at Georgia Correctional Healthcare Corp in 1995 and later became the President of their own medical practice, Loy D Cowart III MD PC, in 1995. Loy also served as a Medical Director at Evans Family Centered Healthcare, where they implemented a quality improvement project. Loy then became the Chief Medical Officer at TransformHealthRx, a startup that provided healthcare plans for employers. In this role, they oversaw medical care and helped the company expand. Loy also worked as a Medical Director at Twin City and Candler Family Medical Clinics, where they streamlined patient service and improved hospital communication. Loy held multiple roles at Alliant Health Solutions, including Medical Consultant, Medical Director Medicaid, and Chief Medical Officer Medicaid. Currently, Loy is the Chief Medical Officer for Quality Improvement at Candler County Hospital and serves as a Family Physician at Candler Medical Group.
