Karen Wicker

Karen Wicker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public relations, higher education, and communications. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Candor since May 2012, Karen has scaled the firm to 25 employees and more than 50 clients. Prior to this, Karen served as Region President for Schnake Turnbo Frank | PR in Oklahoma City, where significant leadership was provided over large accounts. In earlier roles at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, multiple positions were held, including Director of External Affairs, encompassing oversights in communications, alumni affairs, and community relations. Karen began a career in journalism as a news anchor and reporter for the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority, highlighting an early passion for storytelling. Karen holds a Master of Arts in Human Relations and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.
