Susan Akbarpour is a seasoned venture capital leader and innovator with extensive experience in consumer-centric technologies and fund management. As Managing Partner at Candou Ventures since February 2016, Susan has successfully reviewed over 1,000 business plans and closed deals totaling $5 billion, emphasizing SaaS, AI, and blockchain technologies. In addition to co-founding CIMA, a solution for improved fund management transparency, and serving on the boards of KQED and Facenote, Susan founded Democracy 3.0 to support non-profit community organization. With a commitment to education, Susan established "The Akbarpour Aalaei Fellowship" at Stanford University to aid Farsi-speaking students. Currently, Susan is also a candidate for the NYSE Board Diversity Initiative and a visiting faculty member at HARBOUR.SPACE University, teaching courses on impactful product design and alternative financing models.
