Marian Brannelly

Marian Brannelly serves as the Global Director of Awards and Global Head of Awards Engagement at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity since January 2022. Previously, Marian held the role of Partnerships Lead at Tortoise Media from February 2021 to January 2022 and served as Senior Global PR and Communications Manager at Blis from July 2019 to January 2021. Marian’s extensive experience at Cannes Lions includes various positions from Head of Communications to Press & Public Relations Executive between 2014 and 2019, and as Creative Administrator for the PR Awards Team in early 2014. Earlier roles include Public Relations Executive at Walsh Public Relations in 2013 and Marketing Executive at Magnet Networks. Marian began a career in education as a Primary School Teacher in Ireland, focusing on students with Special Educational Needs from 2009 to 2013. Academic qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and Marketing from D.I.T. in 2013 and a Bachelor of Education from St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra, in 2009.
