Chuck Celaya started with Cannon & Wendt Electric Company in 1988 as an apprentice electrician before becoming a Journeyman Wireman in 1993. Just a few months later, he was promoted to Foreman at Motorola Mesa and became more client-facing. In 2000, Chuck was transferred to the Tempe Motorola facility and elevated this time to General Foreman. In this position, he was responsible for multiple projects for Cannon & Wendt including Corning Gilbert, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Training Center, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport air traffic control tower.
In 2007, Chuck’s career in the data center industry began at IO Data Centers for Cannon & Wendt. Then in 2010, he transitioned into estimating and running the projects as well. As the data center industry grew within the metropolitan area, Chuck was running more data center projects at multiple sites. His role with Cannon & Wendt developed more toward Project Management and overseeing the different data center projects. A decade later, Chuck received yet another promotion and became the Manager of Construction Services. Finally, as of Jan. 1, 2022, Chuck earned his current officer position as Vice President of Construction Services.
Chuck attended Phoenix College and received his electrical training from Phoenix Electrical JATC. He also earned a certification in OSHA 30-hour Outreach Training, which focuses on construction safety.
