Facility Assessment Technical Support Specialist at CannonDesign

Benjamin Kozar began their work experience in 2008 as a Junior Architect at Galbo Architects. During this time, they were responsible for drafting construction drawings and managing project requirements for various residential, commercial, and institutional projects. Benjamin worked at Galbo Architects until 2010. In 2014, Benjamin joined Freed Maxick CPAs, P.C. as a Cost Segregation Consultant. Benjamin held this role until 2015. In 2016, they joined CannonDesign and FOS of CannonDesign in two separate roles. At CannonDesign, they served as a Facility Assessment Technical Support Specialist, while at FOS of CannonDesign, they worked as an Architectural/ADA Specialist. Both of these roles are still ongoing.

Benjamin Kozar, CDT, SFP, Assoc. AIA, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Environmental Design from the University at Buffalo from 2003 to 2007. Benjamin later pursued another Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the same institution, completing it from 2009 to 2011. After their formal education, Benjamin obtained several certifications to further enhance their professional profile. In 2018, they obtained the Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) certification from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), as well as the Certified Document Technologist (CDT) certification from the Construction Specifications Institute. In 2017, Benjamin became Procore Certified: Architect through Procore Technologies. Additionally, they have an AutoCAD 2013 Certification from Erie 1 BOCES, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
