Michael Cavanaugh Aia, Ap, Well Ap

Michael Cavanaugh has a diverse range of work experience in the field of architecture. Michael started their career as a Drafter at Fondren McGrath Architects in 1998. Michael then moved on to work as a Job Captain at Arrowstreet Inc., where they were involved in the design and construction of multiple retail investor centers across the United States. In 2002, they joined DiGiorgio Associates Inc. as a Project Designer, where they managed the design and construction of fast-track renovation projects for a major Boston medical institution. In 2006, they became a Project Architect at Anshen + Allen, overseeing the design and construction documentation of a $35 million outpatient facility in Southwest Utah. Finally, they joined CannonDesign in 2009, initially as a Senior Associate and later promoted to Vice President. In this role, they were responsible for leading project teams in the design of healthcare, higher education, and laboratory projects, both in the US and abroad. Michael also played a significant role in promoting sustainable design and process improvement initiatives across multiple offices.

Michael Cavanaugh, AIA, LEED AP, WELL AP pursued their Bachelor of Architecture degree at Virginia Tech from 1993 to 1998. Their field of study was architecture.
