Shannon Chmura

Shannon Chmura, MBA has a diverse work experience across various companies. Shannon is currently working as a Human Resources Business Partner at CannonDesign since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Welch's from 2019 to 2021 as a Senior Human Resources Coordinator, where they played a key role in transforming the HR department and driving corporate initiatives. Shannon also had hands-on experience in data analysis and managing high-priority projects aimed at improving efficiencies and reducing labor redundancy.

Before joining Welch's, Shannon worked at Lake Shore Savings Bank from 2016 to 2019. During their tenure, they served as a Human Resources Staffing/HRIS Specialist and was responsible for managing HRIS programs and the payroll process. Shannon also led the recruitment process and implemented career pathing strategies to ensure quality hires and internal promotions. Additionally, they oversaw the bi-annual review process to facilitate productive coaching between managers and employees. Before transitioning to the HR department, Shannon worked as an Insurance Clerk at Lake Shore Savings Bank from 2016 to 2017.

Shannon's professional journey began at M&T Bank, where they worked as a Legal Liaison from 2013 to 2016. Shannon'srole involved managing legal matters and acting as a liaison between the bank and external legal entities.

Throughout their career, Shannon has demonstrated their expertise in HR operations, project management, data analysis, and fostering positive working relationships. With their MBA degree and experience in both digital transformation and union employee relations, they bring a well-rounded skill set to their role as a Human Resources Business Partner.

Shannon Chmura, MBA, has a diverse educational background. Shannon obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Western Governors University, where they studied from 2016 to 2018. Prior to pursuing their MBA, Shannon completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University at Albany, SUNY, from 2010 to 2012. Shannon also earned an Associate's Degree in Equestrian/Equine Studies from the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville, where they studied from 2008 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Shannon Chmura holds a certification in "Excel: Creating a Basic Dashboard" obtained from LinkedIn in May 2021.
