Evan Yi

Evan Yi has a diverse range of work experience in the IT field. Evan started their career as a System Engineer at React Solutions in 2006 before transitioning to the role of IT Manager at Austech Institute for Further Education, where they worked from 2006 to 2010. In 2009, Evan joined Synplicity Pty Ltd. as a Solutions Architect, where they were responsible for designing and executing specific solutions, translating system requirements into software architecture, and managing a small team. In 2010, they joined AAXIS Pacifics as an IT Consultant, focusing on IT system, network, and database development and optimization, as well as IT project management. Currently, Evan is working at Canon Business Services ANZ, initially as a Technical Architect from 2010 to 2020, then as a Principal Cloud Architect from 2021 to 2022, and finally as a Manager - Cloud Services starting in August 2022.

Evan Yi's education history includes a Master's degree in Computer Science in Internetworking from the University of Technology Sydney, which they obtained from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed a Diploma in Network Engineering at TAFE NSW from 2004 to 2005. In their undergraduate years, Evan attended Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from 1993 to 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Evan has obtained various professional certifications. These include certifications such as FlashArray Architect Professional from Pure Storage in April 2019, Cisco Certified Network Professional (Data Center) from Cisco in November 2014, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate from Microsoft in March 2022, and Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert from Microsoft in August 2021.
