Horia Tabatabaei Soltani currently serves as the Director (Fellow) of Privacy at Canon Canada, where oversight of Canon Americas’ Privacy Program ensures compliance with privacy laws across Canada and the U.S. Horia co-founded Zero Knowledge Proof, a non-profit organization dedicated to researching privacy rights issues. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Privacy Associate at RSM Canada, providing privacy practice support, and as a Co-Founder and Legal Adviser for TreeAmp, offering legal services for an online collaborative platform. Horia founded HTS Law, delivering data privacy legal solutions, and gained litigation experience as a Student-at-Law with Siddiqui Law Office. Additional positions include research roles at the University of Windsor and Canadian Civil Liberties Association. Horia holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Privacy and Cybersecurity from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, an Information Privacy Certificate from York University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor, alongside an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Development Studies from York University.
