Melissa Carlson

Melissa Carlson is an accomplished Cloud Support Engineer and Technical Account Manager at Canonical since March 2022, with prior experience as a Technical Support Associate. At Tried & True Tutoring, Melissa developed a new curriculum for a data science course and taught classes on programming and statistics. Melissa also participated as a competitor in the National Cyber League and served as a STEM Tutor at the University of California, Berkeley, where instruction focused on subjects such as computer science and advanced math. Melissa's internships included developing a data processing pipeline in Python and conducting qualitative research on mathematics education, contributing to a paper presented at the Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education conference. Melissa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Astrophysics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems from Mt. San Jacinto College. Skills include project development, communication, writing, and both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
