Angie Weifang Yao

Angie Weifang Yao is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in quality assurance and product development, currently serving as the Manager of Quality Assurance at Canopy Growth Corporation since August 2019. In this role, Angie oversees day-to-day operations of the Quality Control department, streamlining testing requirements and improving turnaround times. Previous positions include Manager of Product Development & Stability and Stability Manager, where Angie led teams in cannabis formulation development and managed regulatory documentation. Prior experience includes roles at Trillium Health Care Products and QCL-Quality Compliance Laboratories, focusing on technical project leadership and quality assurance. Angie holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and has significant research experience, including contributions to electrochemical systems and biopesticide production.
