AnneMarie DeCatsye, Esq. has a diverse work experience in the legal and advocacy fields. AnneMarie started their career as a Lobbyist at HIAA in 1986 and continued in this role until 1992. AnneMarie then joined AAPPO as a Lobbyist from 1992 to 1994. In 1995, they became the Deputy Executive Director at the Real Estate and Building Industry Coalition (REBIC) until 2000. Following that, they joined the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association, initially as In House Counsel from 2000 to 2001, and then as the CEO.

AnneMarie DeCatsye, Esq. completed their education at three different institutions. AnneMarie started by attending Immaculata Preparatory School (IPS) in Washington, DC, and graduated with a high school degree in 1979. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in English and Philosophy at Creighton University, completing their studies in 1983. Following this, AnneMarie attended The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, graduating with a JD degree in 1988.

Canopy Realtor® Association is Advancing the Profession and Improving Communities. As the 16th largest association in the nation, we focus on fostering engagement, creating value, improving professionalism, providing education, elevating the value of a Realtor®, advocating for the real estate industry, and developing future leaders. The Association is the parent entity for Canopy MLS, Canopy Real Estate Institute (CREI) and the Canopy Housing Foundation. Canopy MLS is the 19th largest MLS in the country and ensures that subscribers receive the technology tools, training and support to better equip Realtors® to serve clients. Realtors® utilize Canopy MLS to access the most accurate, timely data and provide maximum exposure for a home. CREI provides an array of education through its virtual Canopy Campus platform making it easy to enroll in and access in-person, online or self-paced real estate education, professional development and training courses including a full range of North Carolina and South Carolina course offerings and nationally recognized designations and certifications developed by the National Association of Realtors® and the Real Estate Business Institute. Canopy Housing Foundation, the charitable arm of the Association, continues to grow through the support of Realtor® volunteers in Mecklenburg, Iredell and Haywood Counties.
