Paul Engelen is a seasoned safety expert in operational risk management with extensive experience at LVNL since 1989, where Paul has held multiple key positions including Senior Performance Expert and Manager Incident Investigation. Engelen specializes in conducting investigations on Air Traffic Management incidents, performing safety studies, and serving as a point of contact for various safety-related initiatives and classifications. Additional roles include participation in significant safety monitoring subgroups and committees, as well as developing databases for hazard management. Prior experience includes serving as a tower/approach controller at the Royal Netherlands Air Force and leading safety information exchange programs with CANSO. Engelen's educational background includes VWO and several specialist courses completed over a span of nearly four decades.
