Cantare serves over 2,650 children in the Oakland Unified School District through our classroom music, after-school choirs, multi-lingual music program and annual Summer Music Camp.  All programs are tuition-free!  

We also have 3 adult choirs: 100-voice Chorale which presents 3 concerts a year, 26-voice Chamber Ensemble, and Summer Choir which is a non-auditioned and performs annually in July.
  
Cantare was founded by Artistic Director David Morales in 1987.
