Peter Orchard

Peter Orchard has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Peter began their career as the Active Placement Unit Coordinator at the Brotherhood of St Laurence in 1994. Peter then moved on to work as the Site Coordinator for The Salvation Army's BEAT program from 1996 to 1998. Peter then joined the Eltham Community Health Centre where they served as the Coordinator for KITS Reconnect, Youth & Family Program and School Focused Youth Coordinator Program from 1998 to 2003. In 2003, they became the Managing Partner at Porter Orchard and Associates until 2006. Peter then served as the Deputy CEO at headspace - National Youth Mental Health Foundation from 2006 to 2009. Peter later became the Director at Australian Healthcare Associates from 2009 to 2012. Currently, Peter is the Chief Executive Officer at Canteen Australia, a position they have held since 2012.

Peter Orchard has a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Monash University, obtained in 1980. Peter then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education and Teaching at Hawthorn Institute of Education in 1986. Later, they completed another Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling at La Trobe University in 1996, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from the same university in 2001.
