Peter Smith is a highly experienced classical tenor and freelance English language instructor, with a career spanning several decades in both music and education. Since retiring in December 2018 due to ill health, Peter has continued to serve as a deputy tenor Lay Clerk for Canterbury Cathedral and has maintained a robust freelance career in opera, oratorio, and professional choirs across multiple countries. An accomplished educator, Peter has taught Business English and General English in various settings, including Kings Education and St Giles International, while also holding a postgraduate degree in Vocal Studies from the Royal Northern College of Music and a BA in Music from the University of York. Peter's extensive performance repertoire includes significant works by major composers, with future concerts planned featuring masterpieces by Handel, Bach, Dvorak, and Beethoven.
