Karen Roman

Karen Roman currently serves as the Head of Junior School at Canterbury College, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Karen managed student services at Independent Schools Queensland from April 2019 to January 2024, leading a multi-disciplinary team to support the education of diverse learners and enhance student and staff wellbeing. Karen's extensive experience in educational leadership includes positions as Assistant Principal and Head of Junior School at A.B. Paterson College, as well as Deputy Head Junior School focusing on curriculum and pastoral care. Karen began their teaching career at Woongoolba State School and holds a Master's Degree in Education Literacy from Queensland University of Technology, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Griffith University.
