Chris Motes has over 25 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Chris began their career as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young LLP, where they gained valuable experience in auditing and managing people. Chris then joined Agillion Inc., a startup in Austin, as a Director of Finance, contributing to the development of a subscription-based web product for SMBs.

Chris's journey continued at Yahoo, where they held multiple roles over the years. Chris started as a Director of Product Management and played a key role in enhancing the consumer experience for finding jobs. Chris later became the Vice President of Video Product, leading the product team for video in Yahoo's Media Group and focusing on delivering a seamless user experience. Additionally, they served as the Vice President and Senior Director of Product Management for Yahoo News, overseeing the world's largest news site.

Following their time at Yahoo, Chris joined Otter Media / The Chernin Group as an Entrepreneur in Residence, working closely with portfolio companies and evaluating new investment opportunities. Chris then joined Fullscreen Media as the Senior Vice President of Product & Design, where they focused on launching a subscription video app and finding its product/market fit.

After Fullscreen, Chris joined Aura, a mission-driven Fintech company, as the VP of Product, Design, and Engineering. In this role, they expanded their responsibilities to also lead the engineering team, focusing on providing affordable credit-building products to the underbanked.

Most recently, Chris joined Airtime as the Chief Product Officer, leading the product strategy and development. Currently, they hold the same position at Cantina, where they continue to contribute their expertise in product management and leadership.

Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated a strong focus on product development, design, and innovation, bringing valuable contributions to each organization they have worked for.

Chris Motes has a diverse educational background. Chris completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Marketing at The Wharton School from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, in 1999, they earned a Certificate in Guitar from Musician's Institute. Before pursuing their MBA, Chris obtained a Master of Science from Texas A&M University in 1995, although the field of study for this degree is not provided. Chris previously completed their Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting at Texas A&M University from 1990 to 1994. Chris's education journey began at EPHS, where they earned their high school diploma from 1987 to 1990.
