Christy Davis

Christy Davis is currently the Curator of Exhibitions at the Canton Museum of Art. Prior to that, they worked as a Personal Trainer with a NASM-CPT certification and multiple specializations.

Christy has also worked as the Registrar at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, where they were the primary contact with the American Alliance of Museums throughout the Accreditation Process (Accreditation achieved 2017), Visitors Count! Survey with AASLH (2017), and the Museum Assessment Program (2013) and Core Document Verification Program (2013). Christy also wrote and implemented the Disaster Response and Emergency Evacuation Plan, Institutional Code of Ethics, Collections Plan, and Employee and Intern Handbooks.

At the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Christy oversaw, tracked, and rehoused the library, archives, and 3-dimensional collection through expansion and renovation of the museum during two major construction projects and gallery renovations in 10 years. Christy also conducted a complete inventory of the Museum Collection and Archives (recurring) and was a team member in the implementation of the Museum Volunteer and Docent Program. In addition, Christy managed database and records for a collection of 50,000 objects and 40 million documents and photographs, trained, managed and supervised undergraduate and graduate interns and volunteers working with the collection, assisted with exhibit installation and travel for exhibits both domestic and international, and served as a member of the public relations team working with over approximately 400 credentialed media during the summer months leading up to the Enshrinement Ceremony.

Christy Davis has a Masters Degree in Arts Administration from the University of Akron. Christy also has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Psychology, Art Therapy, Studio Art, and Art Christy'story from Capital University. In addition, they are certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in Women's Fitness Specialization (WFS), Youth Exercise Specialization (YES), Fitness Nutrition Specialization (FNS), and Certified Personal Trainer.

They are on a team with Erica Emerson - Education Director, Kaleigh Pisani-Paige - Curator of Collections & Registrar, and Danielle Attar - Marketing & Events Director. Christy Davis reports to Max Barton, Executive Director & CEO.
