Orla Mitton

Orla Mitton has extensive work experience in finance and auditing. Orla is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland, a position they have held since May 2022. Before that, they worked at Barclays from 2018 to 2022, where they served as the Head of Financial Control for Barclays Europe. Prior to Barclays, Orla was the CFO of Prime Services (Equities) at Credit Suisse from 2015 to 2018. Orla also held various roles at Barclays Investment Bank from 2004 to 2015, including Director of Product Control for Counterparty Risk Trading and Treasury. Orla began their career at Goldman Sachs as an Associate in Product Control and also worked at PwC and EY as an associate in financial services audit and advisory.

Orla Mitton's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in BESS (Business and Economics) from Trinity College Dublin, which they obtained from 1990 to 1994. Following that, they pursued a Masters in Accounting at University College Dublin from 1995 to 1997. Orla then sought an ACA qualification from Chartered Accountants Ireland, completing it from 1997 to 1999. Later, in 2006 to 2007, they attended City, University of London to pursue an Msc in Investment Management.

In terms of additional certifications, Orla obtained a Certificate in Sustainability Strategy, Risk, and Reporting from Chartered Accountants Ireland in February 2023.
