Kris Waldhauser has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2002, Kris served as an Army Officer in the US Army for five years. Following this, from 2007 to 2008, Kris served as a Logistics Manager in the Army National Guard. In 2008, Kris transitioned to the private sector and joined Rock-Tenn Company, where they held various roles including Assistant General Manager and General Manager of a Material Recovery Facility (MRF)/Recycling Plant. Kris then took on the position of Area Operations Manager in the Recycling Plant Business, overseeing several recycling facilities in Florida. From 2012 to 2014, Kris became the Vice President of West Region Recycling Business at Rock-Tenn, responsible for the profitability and operations of recycling plants and sales efforts across the Western United States. In 2015, Kris transitioned to WestRock Company, having retained the position following the merger with Rock-Tenn and MeadWestVaco, where they became the Business Unit General Manager for the Mississippi region. Kris was responsible for managing various aspects of the corrugated packaging business, including sales, production, customer service, logistics, and human resources. Additionally, from 2017 to 2018, Kris held the role of Vice President of Business Development - Recycling at WestRock. Most recently, Kris has been serving as the Vice President of Strategic Fiber Operations at WestRock since 2018 and is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Canusa Hershman since 2023.
Kris Waldhauser earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Government from William & Mary in 2002. Following this, they attended the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained an MBA in Business Administration. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they completed their secondary education at Clover Hill High School from 1994 to 1998.
