Ben Ward is a New Zealand-based Group Design Lead at Canva, where they oversee the design direction for video and photo experiences. With 11 years of experience in product design, Ben has worked at companies like Monster Children Group, DNA Design, Us&Co, and Roam Digital, focusing on collaboration and meticulous craft. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies and English Literature from Victoria University of Wellington, which they continue to pursue. Outside of their professional work, Ben enjoys playing and writing music and spending time with their family, including their son and dog, Butcher.
