Nikolay Karev is a seasoned frontend developer with extensive experience in web development. Currently at Canva since February 2021, Nikolay previously worked at Yandex from June 2018 to December 2020, where responsibilities included leading the development of business-facing web UIs for Yandex Taxi and collaborating with project and backend teams. Prior experience includes developing popular WordPress plugins at Envato from April 2012 to May 2018 and serving as a full stack engineer at Myrentacar.com. Nikolay has also held positions as an R&D developer at Hola and as a web developer at TrueParallel, where team management and client communication skills were honed. The career began as an information technology team lead at the Urals branch of the Russian Academy of Science after graduating with an engineer's degree in Computer Technology from Ural State Technical University in 2004.
