Venkatesh Muthusamy

Venkatesh Muthusamy has over 8 years of work experience in the fields of data science, machine learning, information technology, research, teaching, and engineering. In 2018, they began working as Lead Data Scientist, Machine Learning at Canvass Analytics, where they mentored 3-5 people for data science and engineering for offline modelling and operationalization, and also led 5 projects to successful completion. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Ryerson University as an Information Technology Advisor, Research Assistant, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. In 2016, they were a Research Assistant at the Centre for Urban Energy - Ryerson University, where they developed linear programming optimization tools and researched on different sectors that are contributing to Ontario's GHG emissions. From 2012 to 2015, they were an Assistant Manager at AVTEC Limited, where they conducted finite element analysis of transmission housings and developed 1D simulations of integrated mechanical/hydraulic/electric systems of powertrain for prototyping and shift shock analysis. In 2010, they were a Structures Engineer at Team SRMSAT, Space Systems Laboratory. Lastly, in 2011, they were a Summer Fellowship Student at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they performed data analysis and modelling on elasticity of hyper elastic materials.

Venkatesh Muthusamy obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from SRM University between 2008 and 2012. Venkatesh then obtained their Master's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Ryerson University between 2015 and 2017. Venkatesh also attended Holy Cross Higher Secondary School in Salem from 2006 to 2008 and Alagappa Matriculation Higher Secondary School from 2006 to 2008. In addition, they obtained a certification in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People from FranklinCovey India & SouthAsia in 2014 and a Basics of Hyperworks Training certification from Procae - India in 2011.
