Canyons School District covers roughly 192 square miles in the southeast part of the Salt Lake Valley, and serves approximately 33,000 students in 29 elementary schools, eight middle schools, four high schools and four special programs. Canyons School District comprises the cities of Cottonwood Heights, Draper, Midvale, Sandy and the town of Alta. Canyons District focuses on four major tenets: student achievement, innovation, community engagement and customer service. Administration, teachers, and staff have the primary goal to get students prepared for college and careers.
