Lori Kerns has extensive work experience in various educational institutions. Lori is currently serving as the HROD Manager, Credentialing and Talent Acquisition at CAP Tulsa since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Broken Arrow Public Schools as Assistant Superintendent/Executive Director from August 2016 to November 2022. Lori also held the position of Director of Continuing Education and Workforce Development at Tulsa Community College from January 2014 to July 2016. Previously, they served as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction at Sand Springs Public Schools from January 2009 to January 2013. Lori began their career in education as a Teacher/Assistant Principal at Owasso Public Schools from August 2000 to May 2008. Additionally, Lori worked as an Adjunct Professor of American Government at Tulsa Community College from August 2004 to May 2007 and as an Adjunct Professor of History at Langston University from August 1999 to May 2003. Lori started their teaching career as a Social Studies Teacher at Rejoice Christian Schools from August 1998 to May 2000.
Lori Kerns has obtained a Master of Arts in Educational Administration & Leadership from Southern Nazarene University. Lori also holds a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management from Cornell University. In addition, Lori has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Langston University.
