John Geertsema is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the financial services industry, currently serving as Managing Principal at Capco since January 2019. In this role, John has successfully partnered with senior management in Risk and Home Lending Operations to deliver over 2,000 RCSA control procedures related to a Mortgage Servicing Consent Order, managing a team of over 40 across multiple workstreams. Prior to Capco, John held key leadership positions at Cognizant, including Director of Digital Strategy, where strategic advisory services were provided to Tier 1 and Tier 2 US banks, overseeing a team of 70+ consultants and driving significant technology-focused projects. John’s career encompasses various roles in industry-leading companies such as Fannie Mae, BNY Mellon, and USAA, demonstrating expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and process optimization. John obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Texas A&M University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
