Kostya Kanishev

Kostya Kanishev has a diverse work experience in the fields of data science and physics. Kostya is currently the Head of Data Science at mktBI, a position they assumed in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an AI R&D Engineer at Imandra from January 2018 onwards. Kostya was also associated with CERN, where they served as a member of the AMS Collaboration from September 2014 to February 2019, and as a member of the CMS Collaboration from January 2012 to November 2014. Kostya briefly worked as a Data Scientist at WiserTogether, Inc. in 2014. Kostya started their professional journey as a PhD student in Physics at the University of Trento, where they worked from November 2010 to December 2013.

Kostya Kanishev has a strong educational background in the fields of Elementary Particle Physics and Computer Science. Kostya holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Elementary Particle Physics, which they obtained from the Università di Trento in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Elementary Particle Physics from Novosibirsk State University (NSU) in the period of 2005-2010. Kostya also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from NSU, which they completed between 2001 and 2005. Kostya attended Jeleznogorsk, School 178 for their primary and secondary education from 1991 to 2001.

In terms of additional certifications, Kostya has completed various courses and specializations. These include the Natural Language Processing Specialization and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) Specialization from deeplearning.ai in 2020. In 2016, they completed the Introduction to Functional Programming in OCaml course at Université Paris Diderot. Other certifications include CS19.1x Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Computation from BerkleyX (2013), 6.002x: Circuits and Electronics from MiTx (2012), CS188.1x Artificial Intelligence from BerkleyX (2012), and Cryptography I from Coursera.
