Alex Peterson is a seasoned legal and regulatory specialist with extensive experience in environmental law and land-use planning. Currently serving as a Legal & Regulatory Specialist at the Cape Cod Commission since March 2022, Alex previously held roles such as a Legal Intern at Duke University’s Office for Institutional Equity and a Summer Legal Intern at the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. Notably, Alex has contributed to environmental initiatives as a Clean Energy Law Clerk at Earthjustice and worked with organizations like the US Environmental Protection Agency and NextGen Climate. Alex holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Urban Planning from Rollins College, complemented by a study in Urban Design and Planning in Athens.
