John Lanza

Captain John Lanza began his career with the Cape Coral Police Department in 1997. He is currently the Captain of the Community Services Bureau, which oversees the School Resource Office Unit and the Victim Advocate Unit. Prior to his promotion to Captain, Captain Lanza was a Lieutenant in the Special Operations Bureau overseeing the Traffic Unit, K-9 Unit, Marine Unit, Motorcycle Unit, and served as the Assistant SWAT Team Commander. Captain Lanza holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Hodges University. Captain Lanza has also served in the Patrol Bureau, Investigative Services Bureau, and as Field Training Officer Administrator and Career Development Coordinator.
