Marie Jacobsen Lauvås has a diverse work experience. In 2013, they were a Business Developer for ThermaSiC (Seram Coating AS). From 2014 to 2017, they held various positions, including Investment and Management for Locu Invest AS, Board Member for Brillefilm (formerly Kunnskapsløypa AS), CMO and Head of International Strategy for Technoport, and Leader of SIKOM Connect ENERGIX project for smart effect control for SIKOM Connect. In 2017, they founded and became CEO of Capeesh, a machine intelligence and gamification platform for tailored language learning. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Board Member for Næringsforeningen i Trondheimsregionen (NiT), Trondheim Parkering AS, and TRONDHEIM KAMMERMUSIKKFESTIVAL. In 2015, they were Project Leader for Trondheim Playground, a creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship festival.
Marie Jacobsen Lauvås began their educational journey in 2005 when they completed their International Baccalaureate High School with a focus in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies, General. In 2007, they attended Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST) and completed a one-year program in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technician. From 2008 to 2011, they attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Chemistry and Biotechnology. In 2012, they attended Gründerskolen: Boston University - School of Management and earned a Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Management. Marie then returned to NTNU and completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Economics and Entrepreneurship in 2013.
