Mark Brown

Mark Brown is currently the Director at Capella University. Prior to their current position, Mark held various finance-related positions at different companies. Mark started their career as an auditor at Price Waterhouse from 1981 to 1983. Mark then became the Business Unit CFO for Middle East/N. Africa/Pakistan at Pepsi-Cola International from 1989 to 1998. After Pepsi, they became the Director of Corporate Planning at Pepsi Bottling Group in 1999 and held that position until 2000 when they became the Chief Financial Officer at The Kantar Group (a WPP Company). In 2001, they joined Strayer Education, Inc. as their Executive Vice President & CFO and held that position until 2015 when they became the Vice Chair Board of Trustees at Strayer University. Most recently, from 2013 to 2018, Mark was a member of the finance committee to the board of directors at Childrens National Medical Center.

Mark Brown has a BA in Accounting from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
