Nancy Ackerman

Nancy Ackerman is an experienced education professional with a strong background in instructional design and assessment. Currently serving as an Assessment Specialist at Capella University since December 2005, Nancy focuses on aggregating and analyzing competency-based assessment results to enhance quality improvement initiatives. Previous roles at Capella include Instructional Designer and Associate Instructional Designer, where responsibilities included leading faculty training sessions and developing online courses tailored for adult learners. Nancy also has experience as an Academic Advisor, assisting students with various academic challenges. Prior to Capella, employment was held as an Employment Counselor for the State of Minnesota, facilitating job search workshops, and as an Elementary Education Teacher at Minneapolis Public Schools. Nancy holds a Master's degree in Education from the University of Minnesota, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and has completed coursework in Instructional Design at Capella University.
