Patricia Heintzman

Patricia Heintzman has been involved in many aspects of local government including four years as the Mayor of Squamish and three terms as a Councillor. She was a Director of the Squamish Lillooet Regional District and the Sea to Sky Regional Hospital District for 10 years and served as both Chair and Vice-Chair of both governments during that time. During her 13 years in local government, Heintzman chaired the BC Mayor's Caucus, was a board member of the Union of BC Municipalities, the Lower Mainland Local Government Association (President), the Municipal Insurance Association of BC, and the Fraser Basin Council.

Prior to her time in local government, Heintzman worked in publishing and journalism. She has also been involved in a variety of community events and organizations in the Sea to Sky Corridor including several years as President of Squamish Helping Hands Society, an organization that operates the homeless shelter, food, and drop-in services in Squamish.
